7-year-old girl fatally struck by school bus in Monsey, Rockland County

MONSEY, New York (WABC) -- A 7-year-old girl was fatally struck by a school bus in Rockland County on Wednesday morning.

It happened on Blauvelt Road in Monsey just after 9 a.m.

A 28-year-old man from Monsey was driving the bus at the time of the incident, police said.

Hatzalah EMS pronounced the girl dead at the scene.

No drugs or alcohol are suspected as contributors to the accident, and no criminal charges are expected at this time.



The deadly crash is being investigated by the Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit.
