Heavy rain topples trees across Tri-State, impacting train service and damaging cars

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Rainy weather saturated the ground, causing several large trees to topple across the Tri-State area.

A massive tree fell in Central Park near 63rd Street and Central Park Drive, blocking the roadway.



Another large tree came down onto several parked cars near 2045 Union St. in Brownsville, Brooklyn, causing damage.



In New Jersey, a tree fell onto one of NJ Transit's train lines, suspending service for a time Saturday evening. Service was restored Sunday morning.



No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
