Duane Reade security guard stabbed in while trying to stop robbery at Hell's Kitchen store

HELL'S KITCHEN, Manhattan (WABC) -- A security guard at a Duane Reade in Hell's Kitchen was stabbed multiple times while trying to stop a homeless man from stealing.

It happened at West 53rd and 8th Avenue just before 4 p.m. Saturday.

The security guard was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police arrested the suspected stabber and shoplifting suspect.



Shadeed Walker, 26, is facing multiple charges, including assault and robbery.
