NEW YORK (WABC) -- If you've walked around New York City at all, you've seen these strange red and white linoleum tiles, embedded in different streets.
They all have a similar message.

The tiles are another New York mystery as no one has conclusively proven who placed them around the city, and new ones continue to pop-up.
The tiles can also be found in other northeastern US cities and as far away as South America.
