If this year's bill seems beyond your budget, don't worry: we asked shopping expert Andrea Woroch for her tips.
Amazon is promising a budget of $25 will feed a party of five, and Target is touting a Thanksgiving meal kit for under $20.
Here's what's included in Target's under-$20 meal for four:
As for veggies, Woroch recommends families skip fresh.
"Honestly, you can save money if you opt for the frozen," Woroch says. "I picked up this bag of fresh (green beans) for $2.79, frozen $1.79."
"People don't realize product is flash frozen at the time it's picked, so it actually has more nutrients."
Opting for store brands instead of name brands will also shave dollars off your final bill.
When it comes to name brand, "you're actually paying more for less," Woroch says. "This is going to be a huge area of savings."
As for the main event, some retailers are offering free turkeys for customers who qualify.
BJ's Wholesale Club, ShopRite and Foodtown are among those talking turkey giveaways.
"If you spend a certain amount, you can qualify for free turkey," Woroch says.
It can also pay off to download your local grocery store app or grab the printed circular to search for coupons and promo codes.
