Snowfall totals in NYC and the Tri-State area for weekend blizzard

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The powerful winter storm that swept across the Tri-State left a dramatic range of snowfall totals, with some communities topping 30 inches.

Central Islip on Long Island hit a record-breaking 31 inches, while North Stonington, CT and Lyndhurst, NJ also pushed past the 30-inch mark. Staten Island led NYC with up to 29 inches.

Most of Long Island recorded widespread 25-30"+ totals. Heavy bands also swept across Bergen, Essex, and New Haven counties, creating a broad corridor of 20-24 inches.
