Multi-vehicle crash involving scooter on Hutchinson River Parkway injures 7

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- Police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision involving a scooter that left seven people injured and one critically hurt in the Bronx.

The accident happened before 4 a.m. Saturday on the Hutchinson River Parkway near Throggs Neck.

According to investigators, all three vehicles were travelling northbound on the Hutchinson River Parkway when the Honda Accord collided with the Honda Pilot.

The Honda Pilot then collided with the Razor Scooter, causing the 24-year-old man operating the scooter and an 18-year-old woman to be ejected from the scooter.

Both were taken to the hospital. She was listed in critical condition, while the man was stable.



Six of the people in the Pilot and Accord also went to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
