MELVILLE, Long Island (WABC) -- A "purr-fect" rescue took place over the weekend after someone found a kitten sheltering in the doorway of a Bank of America in Melville, Long Island.
A good Samaritan heard little whimpers and spotted the frightened kitten.
It was found alone without his mother or siblings.
Fortunately, the kitten was picked up by a local animal rescue.
