BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (WABC) -- A mother in Suffolk County is denying accusations that she took her teen to fight another girl and then jumped in on the melee.

Police said 41-year-old Dorka Lopez took her 15-year-old daughter to Regis Park in Brentwood in order to fight another teenage girl.

On a phone video of the incident, a woman who appears to be Lopez, can be seen confronting the 15-year-old. Lopez's daughter is standing behind her on the right. "You are really a very low class girl," the woman says. Chants of "Get her! Get her!" can be heard in the background.

Lopez, a mother of four, is accused of jumping into the fight, and prosecutors said she confessed that she drove her daughter to the park knowing there was going to be a fight. The brawl happened in front of more than 20 other teenagers, according to authorities.

But when asked by a reporter Friday if she brought her daughter there to fight, she said "no." Lopez said they went to Regis Park right after school Thursday so that her daughter could talk with the other girl and they could sort out some issues. Her attorney said things got out of hand.

"She had a good purpose in mind and unfortunately, things went badly and the situation escalated," said attorney Lawrence Carra. "My client went there to avoid conflict, not to generate conflict and I think when all of the evidence is presented and all the proper people are interviewed, the evidence will clearly demonstrate that she really did no wrong."

Lopez is charged with harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. She is being held on $6,000 bond.

She works at nursing home.
