NEW YORK (WABC) -- The loss of our colleague here at WABC to a brain aneurysm may have saved another woman's life.

Since Lisa Colagrossi's death last year, her husband, Todd, has worked tirelessly and started a foundation to prevent similar tragedies.

He spoke on the radio about the symptoms of an aneurysm.

A listener called her sister, Kris Sorenson, who was experiencing severe headaches.

It turns out Kris had an aneurysm and was treated.

The sisters and Todd just met for the first time.
