Mamdani's predecessor, Eric Adams says he will be marching. So will Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who is Jewish.
Mamdani is the city's first mayor since 1965 to snub the event but promises not to give security short shrift.
The parade runs up 5th Avenue and starts at 52nd Street and runs to 74th Street. Street closures are expected in the area.
