BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- A livery cab driver was found shot to death in the Bronx early Tuesday morning and a reward is being offered for information about his death.

Maoudo Kane, 49, a livery cab driver was found shot once in the head at 3412 Hunter Ave., according to the Federation of Taxi Drivers. His car was gone.

The NYSFTD is offering $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest.

"When they kill one of our drivers, it opens up wounds that are hard to close. We don't understand why anyone would want to kill a man for pennies, why take a human life," said Fernando Mateo, an NYSFTD spokesman.
