Man killed in Bronx hit-and-run after falling out of livery car

MOUNT EDEN, Bronx (WABC) -- A 35-year-old man was fatally struck by a car that did not stop in the Bronx Tuesday night.

The victim, who may have been intoxicated, fell to the ground after getting out of a livery car on Jerome Avenue in Mount Eden at around 10 p.m.

Another vehicle ran over the victim as he lay on the ground. That vehicle then fled.

The driver of the livery car called 911.

The victim was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

Police are now looking for the other vehicle.
