Police said they responded to 117th St and Farmers Boulevard around 4:50 p.m. where they found a man who was driving the vehicle and suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a 23-year-old female pedestrian who is in stable condition.
William Alcindor, who was shot, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
According to witnesses on the scene said the 66-year-old man was not the intended target.
Witnesses described the suspects as a group of teenagers.
Witnesses also told Eyewitness News that there is always a rowdy group of teens at the location causing problems.
No arrests have been made.
