Man stabbed after confronting other man allegedly breaking into cars in Lindenhurst

LONG ISLAND (WABC) -- Suffolk County authorities are investigating a stabbing in Lindenhurst early Thursday morning.

The victim confronted a man who was supposedly breaking into vehicles on 40th Street when he was stabbed in the leg around 1:15 a.m.

He was rushed to Good Samaritan University Hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover. Police have taken a suspect into custody.
