One of the adjustments includes the $3 base fare hike remaining, but the cap for 7 days of unlimited travel drops to $35.
The new proposal also raises the age of eligibility for $1 LIRR and Metro North "family tickets" to 17.
In another change, LIRR and Metro North tickets will be valid until 4 a.m. the following day, instead of expiring after 4 hours.
If the proposal is approved, the changes will go into effect at the start of next year to align with the launch of OMNY.
