Elderly twin sisters from New Jersey who went missing found safe on Long Island

RIVER EDGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey say they have found two twin sisters who were missing from River Edge.

The sisters were located out in Montauk on Long Island.

Police say they caught up with them and pulled them over after they turned around once they couldn't go any further.

Margo Nelson and Gail Soehnlein are both 82 years old and were last seen Monday morning.


Nelson suffers from dementia and Soehnlein suffers from a heart condition. Family members were concerned they did not have their medication.

Both sisters were transported to the hospital to be evaluated.
