NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line back in service after draw bridge signal issues

Friday, July 12, 2024
NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line's service resumed in both directions Friday after a draw bridge issue.

On Thursday, the signal lock indicator on the River Draw Bridge prevented it from closing all the way.

NJ Transit urges customers to visit their website for service information.

The 116-year-old bridge links Perth Amboy to South Amboy along the North Jersey Coast Line, which serves more than 10,000 riders daily. It is in the process of being replaced.
