Jersey mom gets 7 On Your Side to help with 'Dancing With The Stars' ticket snafu

"Dancing With The Stars" has wowed fans across the nation for two decades.

Fans line up to get the popular tickets for their live tour, but when a young fan and her mom couldn't access their tickets, they knew who has all the right moves, and called Nina Pineda and 7 On Your Side.

Seeing the live tour of "Dancing With The Stars" was on college student Alexandra Tina's wish list.

"We're obsessed with it. We never miss a show," she said.

"And so, for Christmas, I got her and her friends' tickets as a gift," said Alexandra's mom Dayna Tina. "And, yeah, I mean, I just definitely something she was dying to go to every year."

Four tickets for Dayna, daughter Alexandra and her Westchester University roommates to be up front, in rows 3 and 4, cost $1,089.

"Because I kind of wanted to get her as close as possible and, yeah, I mean, that's why I chose StubHub," Dayna Tina said.

They were doing the tango once the tickets were confirmed. But then, suddenly, the music came to a screeching stop.

"And when I went to claim them, I immediately got in like an error message almost that said someone else already claimed her tickets," she said. "I assumed it was a scam of some sort. But, you know, StubHub was never saying that. They were just saying, 'we will escalate your issue, and someone will get back to you.' And no one ever would get back to me."

After months of reaching out, Dayna still couldn't access the tickets she paid for and now the show was only days away.

"No tickets, no refund and I still didn't tell my daughter. So I'm like, I don't want to break her heart, you know?" she said. "I was watching Nina... and I'm like, I'm going to reach out to ABC."

7 On Your Side contacted StubHub, and it jumped into action right away.

A StubHub spokesperson said, "Our priority is always making it right for the fan, and we're glad we were able to reach a positive resolution to get Dayna and her daughter into 'Dancing with the Stars Live'."

Alexandra may as well have won the Mirrorball herself!

"I was over the moon, so happy," she said. "I was so excited."

By the time the curtain went up, they were "cha-cha-chaing" with the rest of the ballroom's dancing fans, watching the Mirrorball masters.

"We're forever indebted to you. They are such obsessed with this show that, you know, had you guys not got involved. We would never have gone. So, we can't thank you enough." Dayna said.
