Booker raises alarm on Delaney Hall, talks Iran, taxing the rich, and a new New Deal

Updated 2 hours ago
Sen. Cory Booker from New Jersey raised the alarm about poor conditions at the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility, discussed the war in Iran and taxing the rich and called for a new New Deal for the U.S. in an extended interview with Eyewitness News Anchor Bill Ritter.

Detainees inside Delaney Hall are said to be on a hunger strike in protest of conditions there.

Lawmakers who have been allowed into the facility say detainees are being given small portions of food that "very often" contain maggots and that the only medication they receive is Tylenol.

"What I saw with my own eyes and heard from inmates should shake America's soul," Booker said.
