Police: Garden tool, meat cleaver used in stabbing on Lower East Side

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- A garden tool with prongs, a meat cleaver, and a box cutter were all used in a fight on the Lower East Side.

Police say two men used the weapons on each other when they got into a dispute on Saturday around 6 p.m. near Madison and Catherine Streets.



One of the men was stabbed in the eye. The other was stabbed in the neck, arm and thigh.

They were both taken to Bellevue Hospital and are under arrest.
