A larger tugboat was dispatched to break up the ice and clear the channel after the boat became stranded.
Service between Belford and BMB in New York City is operating as scheduled.
This is the second time ice has disrupted service since operations resumed. A similar incident happened Wednesday night, prompting Seastreak to promise it would contract a larger tugboat to help manage worsening ice conditions.
Passengers are advised to check Seastreak's website and sign up for email or text alerts for updates. Customers with questions can call 1-800-BOATRIDE.
NYC Ferry continues to deal with the effects of unprecedented ice conditions but has begun restoring limited service.
The Rockaway-Soundview route, going from Ferry Point Park in the Bronx to Wall Street Pier 11 in Lower Manhattan, is now operable.
"Some landings along the western edge of the East River and the Bronx have become more consistently clear, making them reliable to operate for NYC Ferry," the agency said.
Sunset Park/BAT and Rockaway landings remain out of service. NYC Ferry is advising riders to anticipate delays and possible schedule changes as ice conditions continue to shift.
Crews across the region are continuing to monitor ice conditions to determine when additional routes can safely return to service.
