NYPD officers rescue distressed dog from beneath subway train in Manhattan

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police officers rescued a distressed dog that found itself in a "ruff" situation inside a subway station in Manhattan.

Bodycam video shows the rescue on Monday morning at the 14th Street subway station.

According to the NYPD, Moose the dog got loose and went hiding underneath a No. 2 train at the station.

Officers from the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit soon arrived on scene and helped reunite Moose with its owner.
