Police search for suspect accused of stealing jewelry from women in Queens

QUEENS (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man accused of snatching thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry from women across Queens, and newly released surveillance video may help investigators identify him.

The latest robbery happened on Friday near 115th Street and Liberty Avenue in Richmond Hill, according to the NYPD. Authorities say the suspect rode up on a bicycle and ripped a necklace from the neck of a 75-year-old woman before fleeing the area.

Police say the suspect is linked to a string of similar thefts targeting women. Despite the brazen attacks, none of the victims have suffered serious injuries.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
