Man stabbed in Morningside Heights; 8 suspects on the run

MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) -- A 24-year-old man was stabbed during an argument in Morningside Heights on the West Side of Upper Manhattan early Saturday, and police are searching for eight suspects who fled the scene.

The attack happened around 1:45 a.m. near Riverside Drive and West 114th Street, according to the NYPD. Investigators say the victim was stabbed in the upper back and body during a dispute.

Police said four men and four women ran from the area after the stabbing. No arrests have been made.

The 24-year-old victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover. The investigation remains ongoing.
