Updated 40 minutes ago
LONGWOOD, Bronx (WABC) -- The NYPD released video of a person wanted for questioning in the stabbing of a man found dead in an apartment in the Longwood section of the Bronx.

The man, believed to be in his 60s, was discovered with a stab wound to the chest during a wellness check on Wednesday inside his Longview Avenue apartment.

Neighbors reported a strong odor coming from the unit. A construction worker then entered the apartment and found the victim with a knife in his chest. Detectives believe the man had been dead for at least a week.

Police recovered surveillance video showing the person of interest in the hallway around the same time and are searching for him.

The victim had been living with another man as part of a supportive housing program.
