PROSPECT HEIGHTS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have arrested two men in a robbery and assault in Brooklyn, and they're hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a third suspect.

Dees, Hassan Dees, 24, and Kiah Morain, 24, of Brooklyn, are both charged with assault and robbery. A third person of interest is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident, Sanjae Douglas, 25.

RAW VIDEO:

The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Oct. 2 on Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights section.

"I really would like to know, why me, why did they have to do that? What possessed them to do that?" said Gwendolyn Reyes, the robbery victim.

Gwendolyn Reyes was beaten and left with a broken nose and eyes so swollen she could barely see.

She was walking home from the subway late at night when she was confronted by three young men.

In the surveillance video, she is shown being thrown against a storefront, and then pummeled. She struggled to hold onto her purse, but the men took it and escaped into the night with Reyes' MetroCard, cellphone, and $5 in cash.

Gwendolyn's father said the attack has left his daughter badly shaken. "And her jeans were covered in blood and her sneakers were covered in blood," said Jay Reyes, the victim's father.

When he rushed to the ambulance to see his daughter, he was shocked.

"When I first saw her in the ambulance, I didn't even look at her face, she was crying, so I just hugged her for like two or three minutes," he said.

NYPD detectives released these photos of the suspects, convinced that someone will recognize them. Reyes is recovering slowly and may need plastic surgery. Jay Reyes appealed to Eyewitness News viewers for help.

"I hope somebody has the decency and they do the right thing. These guys should pay," he said.

"They need to get caught, I hope they get caught," Gwendolyn Reyes said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
