SUV rolls over, crashes into Jamaica, Queens home; driver rushed to hospital

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- A driver was rushed to the hospital after their SUV overturned and crashed into a house in Queens on Wednesday.

NewsCopter 7 was over the violent crash that happened around 3:20 p.m. at 177-29 115th Ave., a one-story home in the Jamaica section.

FDNY officials said the vehicle overturned and ended up hitting the side of a house.



Firefighters were able to the driver out of the SUV, and took them to Elmhurst Hospital.



It's not clear yet what their condition is.

The Department of Buildings says inspectors determined that the car had knocked down a stop sign and crashed into the front entrance of the home, causing damage to the front steps and brick facade, and broke a window.

The DOB has placed a partial vacate order for the front living room.

Someone was in the house, but wasn't injured.
