FDNY investigating after 61-year-old woman killed in house fire Far Rockaway, Queens

FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens (WABC) -- Officials are investigating a house fire that left a 61-year-old woman dead in Far Rockaway, Queens on Monday.

The fire broke out at a one-story home on 175 Beach 109th St. between Susan Court and Betty Court just before 3:30 p.m.

When crews arrived at the home, they found a 61-year-old woman unconscious and responsive.

EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

The fire was placed under control soon after.




FDNY Fire Marshals will investigate cause.
