Investigators say the 13 and 18-year-olds were shot around 8:30 p.m. Friday near 108th Street and 39th Ave. in Corona.
Eyewitnesses say they heard the gunshots and within minutes police were there and tried to help one of the victims. First responders wrapped bandages around a boy's arm.
"We were working here at the shop and then all of a sudden like two pops went off. I thought it was fireworks. You know, like kids on the block. They're like rowdy, sometimes bad. Then everybody started running," said a local worker who did not want to be identified.
The 13-year-old boy was shot in the arm and the 18-year-old was shot in the ankle. They were both rushed to Elmhurst Hospital.
Two e-scooters were found in the middle of the street. Surveillance video shows police searching for clues that could lead them to the shooter.
It is unclear what sparked the shooting.
No arrests have been made.
