5 residents, 2 firefighters injured in Queens building fire

FLUSHING, Queens (WABC) -- A second-alarm fire broke out on the second floor of a three-story building early Monday in Queens, injuring five residents and two firefighters, officials said.

The fire started before 3:30 a.m. at 41-12 162 St., between Station Road and Sanford Avenue in Flushing.

EMS treated all seven patients at the scene for minor injuries. One resident was taken to Flushing Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
