14-year-old boy shot in leg in Jamaica, Queens; no arrests

JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot in Queens on Friday.

The shooting happened just before 10:30 a.m. on Jamaica Avenue and 150th Street in the Jamaica section, according to police.

They say officers discovered a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the left thigh at the location.

He was taken to Cohen Children's Medical Center where he's expected to survive.


It's unclear what sparked the shooting, which happened near a park.



No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
