The third season of "The Proud Family" reboot premieres Wednesday on Disney+, and the show is already renewed for season four!
The coming-of-age sitcom follows 14-year-old Penny Proud and her family as they navigate life in the 2020's.
Bruce Smith and Ralph Farquhar created the show.
"I would say the overarching theme for this season is where we look inward as Black people in terms of our quirks, peculiarities, so I look forward to that. We have a couple of very, very interesting episodes," Farquhar said.
The newest season will be full of guest stars, including one that sounds familiar to all of us.
Sade Baderinwa will make her animated debut, appearing in an episode of season three of "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder."
"When we get people on the booth, it's just kind of a party," Smith said. "It's everybody finding the characters, cracking each other up. It's like being in a comedy club."
Disney+ is owned by the same parent company as WABC-TV.
