Salt Lake City high school student raises money to buy flowers for female staff, students

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (WABC) -- The power of flowers is on display at a high school in Salt Lake City.

One of the students wanted to make sure none of the female staff or students felt unloved this Valentine's Day, so he set up a GoFundMe to buy roses.

He raised enough cash to buy 720 of the fragrant flowers. Then he enlisted classmates to compose handwritten notes.

There were smiles all around.
