Missing swimmer in water off Long Beach found safe

LONG BEACH, New York (WABC) -- A missing swimmer in the waters off Long Beach was found safe after an overnight search.

A family member notified police that their loved one entered the ocean Wednesday night and never came back to shore.

The report launched a search off the coast near Riverside Boulevard.

Thursday morning, it was learned the that person was found safe.
