WANAQUE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police say two people are dead after a major crash involving multiple vehicles near a school in Wanaque, New Jersey.

According to officials, up to four cars collided on Ringwood Avenue, just north of Haskell Elementary School, after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Drivers of two of the cars were killed, including a 26-year-old man from Wanaque and a 63-year-old man from New York City.

The crash caused delays of an hour and a half at schools district-wide.
