UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police have arrested a suspect after an elderly man was punched in the head last week while walking in Carl Schurz Park in broad daylight.
35-year-old Edwin Suazo has been charged with assault.

The attack happened on Tuesday at 3 p.m. inside the park near East 90th Street and East End Avenue on the Upper East Side.
The suspect approached the 85-year-old man from behind and punched him in the side of the head.

The victim fell to the ground and suffered cuts to his head and above his eye.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.
