WEST ORANGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- A house in West Orange, New Jersey suffered major structural damage when a tree fell on top of it amid a windy day on Monday.

A tall and mature tree fell onto the back of the home on Oak Ridge Road around 4:45 p.m.

West Orange police and fire departments responded to the scene and had the area blocked off.

The tree, which actually fell from a neighbor's yard, fell on top of the house, buckling the front of the upper floor.

That neighbor also says his home suffered damage, but it wasn't nearly as severe.

One woman told Eyewitness News that the residents of the badly damaged home were in the backyard at the time.

There were no reports of any injuries.
