NYPD identifies 22-year-old woman killed in West Village hit-and-run as search continues for driver

WEST VILLAGE, Manhattan (WABC) -- New York City police on Monday identified the victim of a weekend hit-and-run in the West Village as 22-year-old Destiny Murrell of Brooklyn.

Police say a gray SUV struck her as she crossed 6th Avenue near Washington Place shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday.

She was in a crosswalk at the time.

Police are looking for the driver, and no arrests have been made.
