Midtown window washer dies in 4-story fall from cherry picker

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 29-year-old widow washer died after he fell from a cherry picker in Manhattan Thursday.

The accident happened at a site on Park Avenue South and 26th Street just before noon.

It appears the man fell from a fourth-story ledge to the sidewalk below. He was wearing a safety harness and the cause is under investigation.

He was rushed to Bellevue Medical Center where he later died.
