66-year-old woman struck, killed by Hummer in Chelsea

CHELSEA, Manhattan (WABC) -- A woman was killed after being struck by a Hummer in Manhattan on Monday, according to police.

It happened at 25th Street and Eighth Avenue in Chelsea around 6:40 p.m.

NYPD officials say a 66-year-old woman was struck by a Hummer driven by a 19-year-old man.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, but later died.



The vehicle remained on the scene, according to officials.



No further details have been provided.

The investigation is ongoing.
