The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, prompting a massive police scene near one of the busiest parts of New York City.
Police say the 22-year-old was shot after a fight, with two other men, one of whom had a gun and fired one shot that hit the victim in the chest.
The victim then ran a full city block before he collapsed in front of a deli at 43rd Street and 8th Avenue, where he begged a worker to call 911.
