MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man with a large knife who attacked a person on the street in Midtown Manhattan Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Park Avenue and East 54th Street.

According to police, a man on a bike apparently stabbed a man in the chest with a large knife. The victim is believed to be a pedestrian.
The victim walked to 59th Street and Third Avenue and got help. Police said his injuries don't appear to be life threatening.
The attacker got away on the bike.

Police said this does not appear to be connected to another stabbing that happened blocks away in Midtown about 90 minutes earlier.
