STAMFORD, Connecticut (WABC) -- Police in Connecticut have arrested a man they say was video taping a young girl in the fitting room of a Forever 21.

The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday, when authorities responded to the store at the Stamford Town Center on a report of a voyeurism complaint.

They say 42-year-old Hector Celestino Reynos, of Stamford, was recording a teenage shopper as she undressed.

"He used his cell phone," Stamford police Sergeant William Brevard said. "He was in an adjacent stall next to hers. He put his cell phone underneath the stall so that it was positioned in a way to videotape whoever was in the next stall."

He was arrested and charged with voyeurism and risk of injury to a minor.

Police credited the remarkable composure and quick actions of the victim, who pulled out her own phone and snapped a picture of the suspect's hand.

"The victim in this case is a true hero," Stamford police Lieutenant Michael Noto said on the department's Facebook page. "Her actions directly led to the removal of this predator from the street."

The investigation is ongoing to learn if the suspect has done this other times. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond and is due in court on July 31.
