The student is not at the school and is expected to make a full recovery. Health officials say the circumstances are extremely rare and that this is an isolated incident.
Officials at the Westchester County Department of Health say the risk of exposure to other students and staff is low, but those who did come in contact with the student will be evaluated and tested.

A meeting was held Friday morning to answer parents' questions. Officials say the school remains safe for all students, staff and visitors.
"At this point, there should be no cause for concern," district Medical Director Dr. Brooke Balchan said. "Any student that was in a classroom with this affected individual has been spoken to directly by a staff member to allay their fears and to give them specific instructions."
Another meeting will be held Friday evening at 6:30 p.m.
