Up Close: President Biden's State of the Union report card

Sunday, March 10, 2024
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union message and tried to make his case for a second term.

Biden and former president Donald Trump have entered the longest general-election campaign since the presidential race of 2000, George W. Bush versus Al Gore.

Polls show many voters did not want a Biden-Trump rematch, but that's the race the country has.

We talk to Republican Congressman Mike Lawler and Democratic Congressman Dan Goldman.

Plus, our political panel analyzes Biden's performance, and entertainment reporter Sandy Kenyon gives us a preview of the Oscars, which Sandy is labeling the "battle of the blockbusters."

Up Close airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.
