Lost Stuffy Project helps children reunite with cherished toys lost from disasters

Friday, July 18, 2025
When natural disasters strike, children often lose more than just their homes -- they lose their most treasured comfort items.

For a child, that beloved stuffed animal can be crucial for emotional healing.

The "Lost Stuffy Project" helps reunite kids with their cherished toys after traumatic events.

Founded by New Jersey child life specialist Randi Jaffe, the nonprofit has expanded from helping Los Angeles wildfire victims to families across the country. More recently, they've been working with families affected by the July 4 flash floods in Central Texas.

Jaffe joins Mornings @ 10 to discuss her organization's work and the mission behind it.
