NEW YORK (WABC) -- In this edition of Extra Time, we detail the tension building about Mayor Eric Adams' political future, Hurricane Helene strengthens as it takes aim at Florida anda cancer patient defies the odds after a rare transplant.

Knicks Legends team up with students to break ground on a revolutionary new school


In the Bronx -- a group of basketball greats helped break ground on a new charter school in honor of an Knicks legend -- Earl "the Pearl" Monroe.
The facility will be co-ed, tuition-free and 400 students -- all from the Bronx.
It will be located on Elton Avenue in the Mott Haven section.
