The Yonkers Public Schools student was struck by a Mercedes-Benz on Yonkers Avenue and Dunwoodie Street around 3 p.m. The impact sent the teen over the car and across the street.
"When I heard it, I thought it was another vehicle just as there's been other accidents here before," said Yonkers resident William Rossa. "And when I looked up I saw the kid's body literally laying there which was pretty sad."

The student suffered serious injuries and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center.
"I see outside the window, I see him going over the car," said student Mischa Holmberg. "And I couldn't believe it. My heart sunk."
The driver of the car appeared to be going at a high speed, according to police.
The crash is not being investigated as a hit and run, but no further information about the driver of the vehicle has been released.
