HEMPSTEAD, Long Island (WABC) -- Police say they've arrested a teenager accused of fatally stabbing a man whose body was found in a Long Island laundromat parking lot.

Jose Ulisiz Ortiz-Trochez, 18, is now charged with second-degree murder in the deadly stabbing of 35-year-old Gabriel Chic Sian, who was found lying in Laundry Palace's parking lot in Hempstead Friday.

Authorities say say the victim was homeless, and that Ortiz-Trochez illegally came to the U.S. from Honduras just two weeks ago.

Police say the suspect and victim drank alcohol together and got into an altercation lasting roughly 15 minutes.

Investigators believe Ortiz-Trochez then left, got a kitchen knife, returned to the park, and fatally stabbed Chic Sian.

Ortiz-Trochez was reportedly wearing distinctive clothing in surveillance video recovered by police, and he apparently wore those same clothes Tuesday when he returned to the park.

Officers were there investigating and arrested him on the spot.

Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
